Composed by Josiah Walters as a solo for cornet with piano accompaniment, this solo work was commissioned in 2012 by Gregory Chaplain, principal cornet of the Carnoustie & District Youth Band at the time. The piece was written to highlight the skill and virtuosity of Gregory’s playing whilst demonstrating his all round musicality with the moving lyrical elements which dominate the piece. Also available with brass band accompaniment.
