Description
The Watch on the Rhine is one of John Hartmann’s lesser known solos, made up of the popular and traditional format of introduction, theme and variations. Here it is provided in printed format with solo part (for Bb instruments) and piano accompaniment included.
Arranged here by John Wallace as a solo for Cornet/Trumpet, Baritone or Euphonium, The Watch on the Rhine is based on the famous German patriotic song, and John describes it as “a real beauty”.
