This piece is part of the Flexi-Collection – World Tour Series and embraces the sounds and imagery of a tribal group out singing on a remote hill top (where a phrase is sung and response given by the group).  This is effectively recreated by soloists around the band playing and responding. There are also opportunities to spread lots of percussion throughout the band and/or have players clapping the separate rhythms to bring forth the African atmosphere.  A great interactive showcase piece. Each part includes a rudimentary theory reference sheet and Learn Together Moments for group warm-ups; the score also includes background information and Check It Out ideas to encourage the players to find out more.
