Description
Young Persons Guide to the Brass Quintet is a set of Variations and a Fugue based on the children’s nursery rhyme, This Old Man. All the instruments of the quintet are featured in their own solo variation concluding with a fugue featuring the instruments in the same order they were first heard. There is an optional part for narrator which is designed to either be spoken by an additional 6th performer, or simply split up amongst the group in turn.
