Opening with a lively Jig, the piece then settles to offer the tranquility of Gustav Holst’s beautiful melody In the Bleak Mid-Winter, then finishing up with a lively combination of both the dance and carol. QUICKVIEWFour Moods
£30.00An original, 4-movement composition by Tim Paton for brass band. Each movement presents a different style and emotion, opening grandly with Nobility and shortly followed by a smooth, sweet movement, Sentiment. The third movement – Humour – takes the melody just heard in the previous Sentiment, and makes fun of it in an amusing style which utilises ‘rude’ trombone glissandi. The whole piece is then brought to a memorable closing with the final movement – Hot ‘n’ Cool – featuring a mix of jazz/rock with swing style. A fantastic concert item to bring variety to your programme.
