A lovely, short and sweet arrangement by Steven Drury of this well known Scandinavian melody. Featuring the Baritones, Euphoniums and Basses (with a little visit from Soprano too!), it’s a great way to spotlight the lower brass sections of the band. Also available for Brass Quintet.
Made famous by the boy band ‘Take That’, this fantastic new angle on the song from Lucy Pankhurst, creatively features the flugel and tenor horn section with full support from the accompanying band.
Written for The Raunds Band to open a concert dedicated to the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity. It represents the living (trumpets) calling out to those who have lost their lives in battle (cornets).
Commissioned by Katrina Marzella in 2008, this modern ‘duet’ for Baritone and Euphonium soloists with brass band accompaniment has been inspired by ‘nature and environment’ as its primary muse. The music takes the listener through 7 stages of environmental atmosphere, in its combination of sounds and effects. It is a very uplifting work and with the back-story in mind (see full description below), it makes for an incredibly effective concert feature.
